Caesar Garcia – Sales Manager
As Sales Manager at Copyamerica, Caesar Garcia will maintain
the client relationship for the project. Caesar is a graduate
from the University of California in Berkeley and has years of
experience in sales, Account Management and Project
Management. Caesar prides himself in providing quality
service, offering competitive prices and conducting quality
control throughout the course of a project.
Caesar is an expert in litigation support and electronic
discovery and can tailor solutions to meet your needs using
the latest technologies and tools. His experience in large,
complex litigation has given him the knowledge to assist his
clients in determining the best course of action to achieve
the greatest success. During his career, Caesar negotiated
cost estimates with clients and managed a nine million dollar
project. He was able to deliver the project on time and under
budget ensuring that the goals and objectives were
accomplished in accordance with the outlined specification.
Caesar always ensures that his customer’s needs are met.
Caesar participated in the Journey of Hope cycling from San
Francisco to Washington, D.C. to raise the awareness on behalf
of people with disabilities. He continues his philanthropic
work with the annual Aids Lifecycle ride from San Francisco to
Los Angeles to benefit the Aids Foundation.
Deborah H. Smith – Electronic Discovery Project Manager
Deborah Henegar Smith has over 20 years experience in the
legal industry with an emphasis on litigation support and
electronic discovery. Deborah has experience at several San
Francisco offices of large law firms, such as, Littler
Mendelson LLP, Brobeck Phleger & Harrison LLP, and Skadden,
Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP
Deborah received her J.D. from the University of Memphis and
has been involved in all phases of complex litigation with an
emphasis on litigation support and electronic discovery. She
has experience as a Law Firm IT Director, Client Services
Director, Practice Support Manager and Electronic Discovery
Project Manager. She is certified in iConect and is experience
in most litigation support and electronic discovery tools and
online platforms.
Deborah has served on national advisory committees for law
firms to define and deliver best practices, training and
e-learning on litigation support and electronic discovery.
Deborah has also served on electronic discovery panel
discussions at litigation support conferences and events.
While at Brobeck, Deborah founded the Brobeck Institute of
Technology corporate university to deliver web-based, distance
and instructor-led training in technology to the 2000+
employees and consultants of the law firm.
Jamshaid Rai - Engineer
Jamshaid Rai holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering with extensive
experiences serving clients such as Ford, General Motors,
Hitachi and Sony. While employed by Hewlett Packard, JR was a
critical part of the team that showcased technology for the HP
Labs and provided integration strategies to large
corporations.
JR started Copyamerica in 2002 where he has leveraged his
education and experience to provide a first rate service to
the Bay Area legal community. His goal is to provide the best
services at the lowest cost without sacrificing the quality of
the service and products provided.
Javaid Rai - Engineer
Javaid studied Electrical Engineering at Fresno State
University to prepare for his career in technology. With over
25 years in the industry, Javaid brings a wealth of experience
and creative solutions to Copyamerica’s clients. His excellent
managerial and human resource skills make him a critical part
of the Copyamerica team.
Waqqas Khan - Engineer
Waqqas holds a Masters Degree in Mechnical Engineering from
Sacramento State. Waqqas has over ten years experience
dedicated to providing solutions in digital and print
technology. His combination of education and experience
position him perfectly to provide the best, least expensive
and most effective solutions for any electronic discovery
project.
Gordon Latz – Legal Expert
Gordon Latz Received his JD from Washington & Lee University
School of Law and his BA from the University of Pennsylvania.
Upon graduating, Gordon was employed by the New York District
Attorney’s Office for six years where he represented the
People of the State of New York in criminal prosecutions,
researched and wrote appellate briefs, delivered appellate
oral argument in state and federal court, responded to defense
motions, conducted evidentiary hearings and trials and
delivered public addresses on behalf of the District Attorney.
Subsequent to his work in the DA’s office, Gordon gained a
wealth of experience at major law firms and corporation in
different aspects of complex litigation and intellectual
property law. Gordon is experienced in Summation and other
litigation support tools, and electronic discovery. In
addition, Gordon holds Microsoft Certification.
Gordon’s depth of legal experience and technical knowledge
allow him the ability to design creative and effective
solutions to meet the client’s needs and the project
specifications.
